伝統的な手技と素材に真摯に向かい合い、没入する制作行為の先にある作品群は、現代において失われがちな感覚や記憶、身体性を追体験させる厳しくも美しい装置です。

About exhibited works

“Visualizing Time””
Gallery San-shitsu represents seven artists who work with embroidery, lacquer, glass, and metal engraving, or a combination of these methods.
The works, which are the result of a sincere and immersive creative process involving traditional techniques and materials, are harsh and beautiful devices for re-experiencing sensations, memories, and physicality that are often lost in the modern age.
